Kate originally studied massage in England, completing her studies in 2003. After five years in practice she returned to education, graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2010. Kate has since completed post graduate training in Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy®* and she primarily uses this approach to treatment.
SDTT is philosophically different in its approach and application from most other manual therapies. It has its own assessment and treatment procedures, with a wide variety of techniques to tackle almost any condition.
By manipulating the fascial-muscle-joint systems, SDTT works to structurally realign the body in order to achieve optimal physical function. Kate’s goal is to locate and effectively treat the underlying cause of musculo-skeletal related pain and dysfunction, in order to achieve lasting results for her patients. Continuing treatment can increase body awareness and vitality, help prevent illness and injury and maintain good health.
